So what do guys REALLY want??

Ok, what do you guys really want?? In a relationship I mean... You all say girls are complicated, well back at ya babe!

Do you all want the traditional girl like me?? A girl that wants the husband, kids, PTA, Junior League, and to spend her days drinking at the club while the kids are supervised by the hot little lifeguard that is home from college for the summer, oops... Strike that last comment, I was distracted for a moment.. Seriously, I want to be the cool soccer mom, stay home, cook dinners for my family, and be a fulltime Junior League volunteer. Is that NOT ATTRACTIVE? Seriously, I want to know...

OR

Do you want the girl that never really wants to be married and would be satisfied living with someone and never having children??
Seriously, I want to know

I'm anxious to read your responses, because the male species is beyond me... With the big 31 looming my mother is going to start wearing all black and go into mourning b/c she thinks I'm never going to get married and it's getting later and later to have kids... before you start railing on mother, it's what southern mothers do until their daughters get married....

Hmmm, let's see. Women won't be in the picture for me till after college, but after college, I definately want a girl who believes that the ultimate end of a relationship/dating is marriage and wants lots and lots of kids. lol, the last part depends on the girl, but I think if she was right for me, she would want alot of children. I love kids, I don't think I could live my life without having like at least 4 or 5 kids in my house. As for the girl's personality: a strong Christian, a girl who's not afraid to stand up to me, intelligent, funny, random, passionate about the things she loves, loyal and supportive and doesn't mind if I watch football every weekend, lol.

My advice, or what I've observed as far as getting married... don't look for it and it will come. That happened to three of my siblings and several other people i know. If you truly just focus on living life and being yourself, then you'll most likely meet the right person... sooner or later. Like my youth pastor said, "I had decided I was through with girls, I threw up my hands a gave up. But then, Karen came and love hit me like a freight train."

Ok, i just thought of this... long comment coming.

The perfect wife according to the Bible...

Proverbs 31:10-31

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “ Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

Ok-
So CS says: Smart, and not mean.. I think I'm fairly intelligent, and clearly, I'm a nice person...check

kate: ignore what CS says.. they want to be treated ugly (which I have actually found to be true in some cases, wierd??)kate, tell us how you snagged mr.kate..

pk: Don't EVEN say that St.EB is a witch or mean!! That's just not cool!!

Stonewall: you are too cute!!! I love your outlook on life, marriage, etc... I am going to make it my life's mission to make sure you end up with a sweet little girl that wants LOTS of babies!!! BTW, there are girls in the south that will watch football WITH you and enjoy as much as you do... If she doesn't watch football with you or doesn't "allow" you to watch football.. DUMP HER IMMEDIATELY!!!

Stonewall- that was so very beautiful!! Thank you for sharing those scriptures... I am currently studying the old testament in my Bible Study. It's amazing how full of love and forgiveness the Old Testament can be..God's Word has endured the ages to touch us even now in these most difficult times..

Ultimately I want the relationship, however I need a girl who not only fills in my blanks but is also at a similar pace.

The traditional thing probably isn't my style. I'm not very conventional.

Someday it will definately be "oh, that's just the Rolligun household" kind of thing.

Told you I was mean. ;-)

And you don't fool me, I know how much you enjoy disagreeing with people. I know an 'aginner' when I see/read one.

Pk- are you crying? There's no crying in baseball!!!- favorite line from A League of Their Own, oh yeah, and when he gives an autograph: "Jimmy Doogan- avoid the clap" .... You know we love you!!

kate- you are so wise!!

RG- you are wonderfully unique and still very young. I like the whole idea of she will have to fill in the blanks for you... that's very cool...

Stonewall- just love,love,love you!!!

Buggy- It is hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic.. but you know I love ya and I would never be ugly to you!!!

An 'aginner' is someone who is 'agin'(against) this and 'agin' that for no reason other than to be 'agin' it or to stir up an argument. I recognize it in your blog comments because my Dad, my stepfather and sometimes Mr. Kate are that way.

After being so involved with politics, I have decided that I'm not going to argue my positions anymore. "I am not going to change your mind and you're not going to change my mind" kind of outlook... I would rather spend my time and energy on something else, like I dunno, sleeping... That's why I always say, George Bush doesn't care about black people... It's completely ridculous and usually so far from left field that people are like, huh?? It's just funny to watch their reaction...
